Amy is the proud owner of Bike n Barre. Amy’s love of fitness started with playing soccer and softball, and at one point she was a personal trainer for Gold’s Gym. Today she is an avid runner who has completed both full and half marathons. Along with being the owner of Bike n Barre, Amy is also one of the spin instructors and is certified through Mad Dogg. Amy is excited to bring Bike n Barre to the community and wants it to be a place where you can leave your stress outside the doors, focus only on yourself and have a fantastic and fun workout.
Jackie Katz has been a dancer and fitness enthusiast her whole life but found her true passion in Barre in 2012. She became certified to teach Barre class because she wants to help others reach their fitness goals in a fun and safe way. Jackie faced numerous fitness related injuries that consistent practice of barre has solved and wants to help others reach their health and wellness goals. Jackie also certifies new instructors in barre, follow her on her Beauty and Barre Facebook page.
Holly has always been passionate about health and fitness. After years of yoga and other group classes, Holly discovered barre. She has been practicing Barre for the past 5 years. Holly is certified through ASAF. Holly’s class will have great music, motivating atmosphere, stretching and “whole body shake” that will keep you coming back for more.
Susan Godfrey is a level 1 Spin instructor. She has always loved being involved with exercise classes and fitness and first began teaching classes in 2002. She has taught spin, plyometrics, and muscle conditioning classes and was a personal trainer for over 5 years. In addition to her certification to teach spinning she has a masters degree in clinical exercise physiology from Northeastern University and a masters degree in nursing from Boston College. Susan is an avid endurance athlete herself having completed 10 marathons and numerous triathlons including the Ironman in Lake Placid, NY. She loves to motivate others to exercise and believes you can do anything if you set your mind to it. She is so excited to share her passion for exercise and fitness with you!
Tara developed her love and appreciation of health and fitness during college after discovering how strong and capable her body could be through power yoga and group fitness. An avid exercise enthusiast since then, she took her first barre class three years ago and could not believe the changes that she started to see in her strength, flexibility, and physique from taking regular classes. She was hooked! Inspired by the motivational instructors she learned from and eager to share this workout with others, she trained to become an instructor in 2015. Her classes are high energy with a promise of great music and a challenging workout.
Anna started dancing when she was 6 and continued into college. About 13 years ago she took her first spin class and fell in love with it. Recently, she decided to take her love for spin and start teaching. Anna became a certified Spin Instructor through Mad Dogg. Her classes are high energy with rocking music.
Meet Nicole: She will be teaching barre on Thursdays at 6:00 PM and every other Saturday at 8:00 AM. Nicole is a Registered Nurse and has always been interested in how the body works and what it is capable of. She grew up dancing and loves being back at the barre! The core strength and flexibility she’s gained has given her relief from chronic back pain and she’s so excited to share the benefit of barre with others!
Meet Maggie: She will be teaching barre on Fridays at 3:45 PM and every other Saturday at 8:00 AM. Maggie’s passion for fitness started with basketball. After trying many different workouts after college, Maggie struggled to find the perfect one. Finally, five years ago, she discovered barre and has been hooked ever since. She loves how barre challenges and changes the body with every work out. After practicing for many years, she became a certified instructor. In Maggie’s classes, you will build long, lean muscles, and improve your balance and flexibility in a motivating atmosphere. Come on down to her barre class for 45 minutes of engaging, challenging choreography that gives you the results you want!
Tracey is a certified Barre instructor and has been teaching to all levels for over 5 years. Tracey has a great passion for her students and for sharing the benefits of barre classes with them. She strives to continuously learn so she can grow and challenge each student to their fullest potential.
Marissa is a lifelong competitive dancer turned fitness enthusiast! She has always had a passion for mind and body health, being a dancer since the age of two and a group fitness goer since her teenage years. Her spinning addiction began in 2015 and hasn’t slowed down since. She became certified to teach spin through Mad Dogg in 2017 and can’t wait to bring her passion to the bike with you. Her classes guarantee a fun time, good music and lots of sweat! Outside of spin, Marissa is a marketing manager at WB Mason and loves to spend time with her family and fiancé.
Buti Yoga Instructor
Meet Hailey: She will be teaching Buti Yoga on Friday’s at 7:00 PM starting in February. Hailey was introduced to yoga as a healing art during her time as an undergraduate at Lesley University. Through yoga, Hailey was able to cultivate a mindful practice that allowed her to deeply connect with her somatic experiences and manage her symptoms of anxiety, depression, and panic. Hailey was first introduced to Buti Yoga in 2015 by a fellow instructor and lifelong friend. She fell in love with the beautiful complement that the dynamic practice provided to the lateral and static movements of her traditional strength training routines. She certified in Buti Yoga in 2016. Her classes will leave students of all ages and skill levels feeling empowered, invigorated, and awakened!
